2017 Ford GT

Second generation, 2017 Ford GT, the legendary model from Ford Motor Company was presented earlier on this year at the 2015 North American International Auto Show. Shortly after that, Ford announced a race car version of the model which will be racing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016. Two version of the model stunned everyone. According to reviewing experts, Ford managed to show full progress of today’s car industry. And that is true. From design and materials to engine and performance specs, both 2017 Ford GT and 2016 Ford GT race car are at the top of their game.

Ford incorporated numerous driver-assist technologies into its upcoming GT supercar. Some of those are traction and launch controls, adjustable suspension, a tire-pressure monitoring system and much more. Total of 4 driving modes are available, and include Normal, Sport, Track and Wet. Every single one of them is designed in a way to activate other systems, such as throttle management, antilock brakes, brake control, traction control, electronic stability control… etc. Engine power is also adjustable trough the driving modes.

Speaking about the engine, second-gen Ford GT will be packed with a twin-turbocharged, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 unit capable to deliver more than 600 horsepower. It has mid-mounted engine from which the power is transmitted to rear wheels, via Seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Together with 2017 Ford GT, Acura presented its rivals, the 2016 Acura NSX. Marked as GT’s other rivals are McLaren P1, Chevrolet Corvette and Ferrari 458.

Upcoming GT will go on sale during the second half of next, 2016, year. Pricing specs are not revealed yet, but it is highly speculated that it will start at around $400,000. Other sources indicate that it will around $250,000.
