When it comes to appearance of the Altima, it looks traditional and classic. Its exterior is somewhat outdated, and Nissan plans to change that. The inspiration for 2016 Nissan Altima exterior will come from new Murano, with more aggressive styling than ever before. Since this is a mid-cycle refresh, we do not expect an overall makeover, but rather some reshaping which will indicate the upcoming changes.

Nissan will probably change front grill, and headlights, to make it appear more aggressive and up-to-date. However the overall body frame will have to wait for next generation. According to Nissan’s design chief, Shiro Nakamura, design direction of the new generation Altima will be sportier than before, with swept-back styling, which will have more resemblance with the sport-sedan concept of 2016 Maxima.

Changes on the inside will include few additional features, and some materials upgrade, while design changes will probably have to wait for a big redesign, which is planned couple of years from now.
