The 2016 Honda Fit will be offered in three trim levels: The base LX model and the optional EX and EX-L models. Following full redesigning in the year 2015, the car will undergo a few changes especially in the exterior outlook. The new Honda will adopt an increased wheelbase of 16-inch alloy designing for the EX trim level. This will enhance the stability of the especially on highway driving. However, there will be some major changes in the interior designing. It will adopt a versatile and practical cabin featuring upgraded materials for comfortable driving. The new 2016 Honda Fit has an impressive legroom for the rear passengers.

The base, 2016 Honda Fit LX will feature impressive standard features such as backup camera, air conditioning, 5-inch center display screen and Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity. Among the safety features include the four wheel anti-lock brakes, traction control, stability control, automatic running day headlights and much more. The top range, Fit EX-L model will adopt heated front seats, leather upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheels, heated mirrors and shift mode.

Under the hood, there will be only one engine option available for the 2016 Honda Fit. This will be a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder aluminum block engine. The engine will operate on direct fuel injection and will be fitted with an Eco Assist System. It will be capable of producing up to 130 horsepower at 6600 RPM and 114 lb-ft of torque at 4600 RPM. The engine will feature 16-Valve DOHC I-VTEC valve Train. The engine will feature a standard six speed manual transmission and an optional Continuously Variable Automatic Transmission (CVT).

When under manual transmission, the base level, Fit LX will return 33 mpg for city drive, 41 mpg on the highway and a combined of 37 mpg. However, When coupled with a standard 6-speed manual transmission, it will be capable of delivering a fuel economy of 29 miles per gallon on the city drives, 37 mpg on the highway and a combined of 33 mpg. The compression ratio is rated at 11.5: 1.The EX and EX-L guise models offer the fuel saving option of the Continuously Variable Automatic Transmission (CVT). With the CVT, these models will deliver enhanced fuel economy of 32 mpg city drive, 38 mpg highway and combined of 35 mpg.

According to the test drivers, the 2016 Honda Fit has excellent power for city drives, but the power weakens when it comes to the highway. They also stated that the car is well composed with rough road driving. The 2016 Honda Fit will probably be launched at the start of 2016. However, no official information concerning the same has been released by the manufacturers. The price will range between $16,600 and $21,000 for the three trim levels.
