2016 Ford Mustang Trims, release date

Unfortunately American auto producer already redesigned its pony car, just a year ago, and 2016 Ford Mustang will be mainly carried over. 2016 Ford Mustang carries over its trim levels from its predecessor and comes available in five, including V6, EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT and GT Premium. Mustang is highly equipped even on its base trim, V6, which, among other features, includes: 17-inch wheels, innovative lighting technology (xenon on the headlights and LED on the rear lights), remote start and access, blind-spot mirrors, climate and cruise control, tilt/telescoping steering wheel wrapped in leather, rearview camera, 4.2-inch multifunctional display with Sync voice activation and sound system with 6 speakers, CD player, double USB and one AUX port.

If you move forward, upped trims have wheels up to 19-inches, chrome and aluminum accents, MyFord Touch interface, Recaro sport seats, heated and ventilated front seats… etc.

However, new, 2016, Mustang will not bring any major boosts regarding features and styling, but rather some shuffling regarding equipment, as well some new exterior paint. New wheel design could also be added in order to enhance the visual image of the 2016 Mustang.

Quite a big surprise came with previous model, with 4-cylinder engine addition. Still American producer didn’t take any risks since it left both V6 and V8 engines available for its pony car, which is also the case with 2016 Ford Mustang.

Turbocharged 2.3-liter 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine, presented premierly for 2015 model year is capable to deliver 310 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque. Combined with 6-speed manual transmission new Mustang returns 22/31/26 mpg city/hwy/combined, and with a 6-speed automatic (with paddle shifters) it returns one mile less for each parameter.

A 3.7-liter V6 engine is base engine and it is offers an output of 300 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. Packed with manual gearbox and this engine Mustang returns 17/28/21 mpg and 19/28/22 mpg city/hwy/combined with automatic gearbox.

A 5.0-liter V8 produces 435 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. V8 engine and manual gearbox have fuel economy rates at 15/25/19 mpg, and with automatic it returns 16/25/19 mpg city/hwy/combined.

Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger are primary competitors, while Hyundai Genesis coupe is also included into this crowd as great rivals for Ford’s iconic pony car.

2016 Ford Mustang price and release date

Price will stay practically the same as for its predecessor, which means it will range from $24,000 up to $37,000. The release is not expected before summer next year,2015, while sales date should be sometime during the fall.

    my 2012 V6, has a leather interior, wanted a 2015 V6, but won’t buy cloth, no way! Does the or will the 2016 V6 mustang have a leather interior included in the options list?
