2016 Chevrolet Camaro changes

Chevrolet’s designer team did a great job with new Camaro. Beside their focus on great look, they work hard in order to correct its faults, such as outside visibility from the cabin. 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is built on a new platform, rear-drive Alpha, which is the base for Cadillac ATS and CTS as well. The outside changes will not be radical. In fact 2016 Chevrolet Camaro will still have its recognizable styling cues, such as broad-shouldered stance, but the body lines will be softer.

Platform change led to weight reduction and dimensions change, while the performance is significantly upgraded with these alterations.  New Camaro will have improved acceleration, agility and fuel economy.

2016 Chevrolet Camaro performance

Thanks to reduction of its weight and size, new 2016 Chevy Camaro could offer a 2.0-liter turbocharged power unit that delivers 272 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Transmission choice between 6-speed manual and 8-speed automatic will be available for all engines.

Since the performance is the main focus of Camaro’s creators it will probably continue to offer both V6 and V8 engines, which are currently under its hood. 3.6-liter V6 produces 323 horsepower and 278 pound-feet of torque.

When it comes to a V8, we believe that Chevrolet will carry over its 6.2-liter V8 engine with 426 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque.

Fuel economy will definitely be improved. And we do expect more than a mile increase compared to last year rates of 17/28 mpg with V6 (average) and 15/24 mpg city/hwy with a V8.
