2016 BMW M6 GT3 will replace BMW Z4 GT3, and here are the pics

German giant announced its 2016 BMW M6 GT3 early on October, last year. Back then, BMW said that the new model will replace the Z4 GT3 model. Recently this brand releases pics of this model, taken during its testing in Dingolfing, Germany. The race car continued its testing in Portugal and Spain.

GT3-spec M6 Coupe will make its first racing steps in 2016, in national and international race series. The power comes from a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine which delivers more than 500 hp. It will be paired with a 6-speed sequential transmission.

BMW’s 2016 M6 GT3 will weigh less than 1300 kg which is around 2866 pounds. Design modifications that will be done in order to enhance its performance will also include vented hood, big rear wing and a prominent rear diffuser.

The release of the model is expected late on this year, so expect further information as we approach to this date.
