2015 Nissan Frontier comes available in five trims, including S, SV, PRO-4X, Desert Runner and SL. Beside trims, it comes available in two body styles, King Cab or Crew Cab, while SV and SL variants offer a Crew Cab Long Bed model, which provides 13 inches of space more than regular. Exterior changes are minor and include new color shade, Artic Blue Metallic which replaced Graphite Blue.

The Pro-4X is specialy designed and equipped trim for off-road drive. It offers some styling upgrades, such as quilted leather seats , red-stitched details, electronic-locking rear differential, and tech features. Tech highlights are Navigation with SiriusXM Travel Link, which is part of standard equipment from this model year forward.

2015 Nissan Frontier SL, has 18-inch aluminum wheels, Bluetooth connection, step rails, leather interior trim, power-adjustable and heated front seats and a Rockford Fosgate sound system with a six-disc CD changer and an AUX input, a navigation system with smartphone integration, a back-up camera, two-zone climate control and automatic headlights.

2015 Nissan Frontier is equipped with two engines, and depending on trim their come paired to either 2WD or 4WD. All-wheel drive, however comes exclusively mated to V6 engine. Speaking of, the 4.0-liter V-6 DOHC engine delivers up to 261 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque. The V6 is available under the hood of majority of trims, and comes packed with a 6- and 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic transmission. Standard engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that makes 152 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque.

Combination of a 5-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel-drive, this engine delivers 19 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway, while with a 5-speed automatic lowers those figures numbers are 17/23 mpg. Optional V6 provides 16/22 mpg with 6-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive. Combination of all-wheel drive and 6-speed manual gearbox provides 16/21 mpg, while with 5-speed automatic it rates at 15/21 mpg city/hwy.

With not so crowded category, Nissan can take it easy and win the top-selling position. All he has to do is to beat Toyota Tacoma, which is not easy at all, having in mind its popularity. The other rival 2015 Nissan Frontier could face is Honda Ridgeline, which is slightly modernized, but not so truck-based as Frontier.

2015 Nissan Frontier is released this month, August, and it recently revealed its price specs. Its price range for King Cab goes from $17,990 to $31,750, while for Crew Cab starts at $22,700 and goes up to $35,260.
