Even unchanged, this sedan is, still, tough competitor and it provides good fuel economy and great features at an affordable price. 2015 Elantra is highly equipped with different kinds of features. It is available in three trim levels that include SE, Limited and Sport. Base, SE variant standard features include 15-inch alloy wheels, heated mirrors, full power accessories, climate and cruise control, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, 60/40 folding seats and a sound system with 6 speakers, CD player, satellite radio and a USB/iPod interface. Beside these standard features, Elantra’s customers will be able to choose between couple of packages of additional equipment, which, among others, include automatic lights, 16-inch wheels, Bluetooth and audio connection, sunroof, and more. Beside sunroof, all these features and few extra (such as 17-inch wheels, Blue Link telematics… etc) are included into standard offerings for buyers of Limited trim. Sport trim loses some of luxury features, in favor of sportier equipment, as well as more powerful engine.

Two engines are included into the offer for 2015 Hyundai Elantra. The engines under the hood are divided depending on trims, so under the hood of SE and Limited variants you will find a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that is capable to deliver 145 horsepower and 130 pound-feet of torque. These two trims, however, come with different standard transmissions. SE and Sport variants have 6-speed manual as standard and 6-speed automatic gearbox available as optional, while for Limited version, automatic is the only choice. 2015 Hyundai Elantra Sport is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 173 horsepower and 154 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy for SE with manual and Limited with automatic transmission is 27/37/31 mpg city/hwy/combined, while SE with automatic gearbox has ratings at 28/38/32 mpg city/hwy/combined. Mpg numbers for Sport variant also differ depending on transmission, so with manual its numbers stand at 24/34/28 city/hwy/combined, and automatic gearbox is rated at 24/35/28 mpg city/hwy/combined.

Between sedans from this category there is a strong competition, so the manufacturers work even harder in order to respond to market’s demands, as soon as possible and at least cost possible. Closest rivals for 2015 Hyundai Elantra Ford Focus and Mazda 3, due t their price range and features offered. Beside Mazda and Ford, 2015 Hyundai Elantra will find competition in Honda Civic, as well as Kia Forte and Volkswagen Jetta, which all can face one another.
